How to Resolve the Final Scene of The Time of the Doctor and Where Do We Go From There...

The Answer to the question is River Song.  Clara can't fly the TARDIS, not well anyway. The Doctor seems to have lost his memory.  Who do you call? River!  She can fly the TARDIS, The Doctor has yet to give her his Sonic Screwdriver(and he's due for an upgrade anyway), and we have never seen a real relationship between the two of them.  Alex and Peter are more age appropriate then Matt and Alex.  The former seemed kind of cougar-ish.  Clara knows that she can contact River via telepathy and a trance but I am willing to bet the TARDIS has a quick set button to the Stormcage where River is being held when she is still alive.  I read somewhere the Moffat is unconcerned with paradoxes.

I think that once the TARDIS arrives at the Stormcage the doctor falls into River's arms and they kiss passionately and in an almost reverse of Sleeping Beauty, The Doctor's memories are waking up instead of him. Clara suddenly feels an outcast, a third wheel. But River pulls her into their wacky adventures which seem to border on the more wrong side of justice.  This will happened because Peter Capaldi is not only the 13th Doctor but... THE VALEYARD!  Moffat has made mention of a limited run at the Doctor role.  Perhaps as the Valeyard and River they find another way to rescue the Time Lords who grant the Doctor more lives. The Doctor could then regenerate when Moffat felt ready to make us cry again.  When ever we get settled with Peter Capaladi as the Doctor, I assume.

Of course these are just guesses.  We have to wait. Till next September or October, if rumors are right.  Where did I park my TARDIS??

Smith's Swan Song

So we say Goodbye to the Raggedy Man, The Chin, and let's not forget the one who got to MARRY the girl WHILE the universe and TARDIS exploded around them, then had to leave because everyone thought he was dead and she had to break back INTO jail. Then there was Clara who was and wasn't, then came and went into the Doctor's past lives and his ship(his main squeeze) and even got to met his darkest secret.

With the town of Christmas in Peril, the Doctor is surrounded by enemies and the smile/crack in the wall was the Time Lords all along.  The Doctor decides against his normal policy(Run, run fast) and stays for hundreds of years, growing old and wasting his last regeneration.  After Clara and the TARDIS end up back at the Planet, which we find out is Trenzalore, Clara goes to the smiling crack in the wall and begs the Time Lords to grant the Doctor a new regeneration.  The Smile goes away and Clara thinks all is lost, but then then regeneration starts and the power of it kills all the baddies.  The Doctor and Clara go back to the TARDIS and she says wow you can keep your face.  He says it's just starting and poof there's Peter Capaldi.  Then he asks her how to fly the TARDIS.

I don't know what this means for next season.  I'm sure he's losing the bowtie.  I did like seeing Amy's both of them.  River?  That would have been nice.  I think she should feature more in the new season.  We know their time line is out of order anyway.  I think Peter and Alex are a good match. I may write more on this later on the 5 or 6 viewing. LOL!

Questions about the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who

So, The Day of the Doctor…
I liked it.  I really did.  I just have some questions.
I’m not being mean but was Billy Piper preggers? That would account for the odd costume that was sort of flow-y.
Why was Clara teaching, and there?  What happening to the kids she was watching?  There was a throwaway line in Nightmare in Silver that leads us to believe that the girl was going to grow up to be Liz 10 or was that just me?
Speaking of Cybermen, why was there a head in the Dark Vault?  Also was I the only person who noticed the painting with the cybermen?  It looked liked “Washington Crossing the Delaware”
Is 11 still going to Trenzalore? Could that be where Galifrey now is?
If all 13 regenerations are used what happened to the Valeyard?  Do River Songs Regenerations count?  How many did she give him?  And how come the Master can regeneration as many times as he D@m* well pleases?!?!
Did anyone else notice?  The book 11 is reading in the Tardis is almost the same as the one the Men In Black when they are testing Will Smith and he shoots the little girl in the head for reading quantum mechanics in a bad neighborhood filled with aliens. Back to the future is actually mentioned by name.
Why were the Gallifrian children dancing around a maypole?  Besides the fact the city is at war, would Gallifry have a May or Maypole dance which was a fertility rite and religious celebration?
Also what happened to Leela and the bands of roving warrior tribes?  I saw Time Lord High Council, Regular Time Lords, and some sort of robot warriors as introduced in The Night of The Doctor, but no true warriors.
I don’t understand why Osgood was weak.  She was supposed to be the daughter of a military man.  She should be tough.  The only read I could get on it was that it made her Zygon correspondingly weak.  Or that like in Superman Returns half-breeds have lung-issues and that’s why she has the scarf. Thing about trying to meld a binary and regular cardiovascular system in one person! That would certainly require an inhaler!
I would have liked a better look into John Hurt’s Tardis.  It looked interesting.  BTW, what do we call his character?  Is he 8.5, 8 ver 2.0?, 9,? The war Doctor? The Warlord? Late to dinner?  Whatever we call him, I hope we get to see more of him, even if it’s just flashbacks!
I thought of something else.  We have always called the Doctor the mad man in the blue box.  Did you notice almost all the Doctors wear hats.  The saying mad as a hatter comes from the fact that they used to use mercury to make hats.  The Doctor’s not mad, he just has mercury poisoning.
There were some inconsistencies in Clara’s character too.  Half the time she seem to know the Doctor’s other faces, the other times she didn’t.  Also if she erased the Daleks’ memory of the Doctor in AofD why do they remember him on Gallifry?
The Vortex manipulator in the Tower Vault wasn’t Jack’s.  His code was an oscillating number on the end.  I believe between 2 and 7. (The Stolen Earth)
What happened to everything else that was fighting the Time War?  The Nightmare Child?  The Nevermores?

AND MOST IMPORTANT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ZYGONS?

The Day is Here DOCTOR WHO 50th Anniversary

I was going to write a full review of The Day Of The Doctor and the two prequels The Night of The Day and The Last Day and the Extra Elizabeth's Credentials.  However I realized that not everyone has not had a chance to watch it once, let alone twice like I have.  Also I am going to see it in the Theater which will be a large screen.  It will inevitable have bonuses and I will literally be able to see more then I can at home.  So be patient and I will write a review of our newest episode. Till then Allons-y and one more word MOFFAAAATTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spoilers, Sweeties!

Finally! We have anniversary goodies from the Beebs!  Since it's almost time to air the the episode it's about time.  Two trailers, yeah!  I swear I see Jenny.  I think I heard River Song.  I at least saw her bracelet (which was Jack's).  We have the return of Bad Wolf.  Also a looming big red button and marching Time Lords.  My only question is why are they staring at ten to the hour?  That's just odd.  Maybe that's a brit thing, I don't know.  The original episode aired at 5:15pm (tea time, you know).  But if by some miracle of modern science you haven't seen the latest trailers, here are the  short one the long one and Elizabeth's credential's.  Have fun and Allons-y! (Guess which Doctor I like?!)

What ever happened to Susan?

So I've been buying up Doctor Who DVD's from Amazon like they were going out of style.  I swear I'm keeping the economy going.  I  must be over 70.  My latest purchase was Dalek Invasion of Earth.  I always wanted to know what happened to Susan the granddaughter.  For the most part, even though Doctor Who is non linear wibley wobbley timey wimey, I can understand it.  But Susan is the fly in the ointment.  If she is there, it kind of messes with everything.  The general explanation of her being left behind because she was in love is good but sort of lacks and really screws with time lines.  Prime Directive, Anyone?  According to the cannon of the radio plays she has children and if you follow the books as well and accept that the Doctor is half Time Lord then she is a quarter Time Lord.  Why has he never gone back and visited her?  One of the things I love about the BBC DVD's is the extras.  On my copy of Dalek Invasion of Earth there is a production called What Happen To Susan?  It has a different explanation of where she went.  I don't believe that the BBC actually authorized this although they certainly utilized it.  I thought buying this DVD would clear things up but it only served to make me more confused.  It also cast the Doctor in a sort of bad light.  I wouldn't believe the things said of the Doctor.  Although I thoroughly enjoyed the DVD and expanding my horizons.  I think that is one of the best things about Doctor Who.  It makes you think outside the box that's bigger on the inside.  If the problem can't be solved you just haven't though of it properly.

Go, Go VOTE FOR BUONO!!!

I know that there are a hundred million ads on tv right now. I want to borrow your ears for one minute. My father was a teacher(retired). My brother teaches college. My cousins teach. My niece intends to teach. I know a lot of teachers. I have listened to what Chris Christie has said about education. He sent $1 to certain school districts. Technically, that is sending money. I wouldn't brag about it though. He was very bad to teachers. Teachers help raise the next generation. If our teachers are not happy they will not do a good job. What is your child's future worth? I am a Democrat. Even if I wasn't, even if I was a Republican, I would vote for Buono because we can't let Chris Christie destroy our schools. If someone in the campaign had reached out to me, I would have suggested the slogan "Go, Go, Vote for Buono!" But no one asked, I'm not important. However, we can make a difference. Go out and vote, help shape the future by making sure your children's is bright.

Go, Go Vote for Buono!

Is the BBC screwing with us?

Ok, Is it just me?  It seems odd that when new episodes of Doctor Who happen to show up they are much regarded episodes and almost completely intact.  I know the original rumors were that almost all the lost episodes were found.  From almost 100 episodes to 9, that seems odd.  Also that the episodes found were intact episodes.  I am not old enough to remember when previous episodes were recovered but weren't they found in drips and drabs.  The two serials found are key serials.  Web of Fear is one of the most sought after episodes.  Enemy of the World is also one of the most sought after because of the dual role of Patrick Troughton.  Also the BBC didn't release them until they were digitally restored.  That means they had them for quite a while BEFORE they had the press release.  This coincides with the original rumors.  The original rumors said they came from Nigeria which was true.
Here's my theory.  The BBC has all the episodes.  They are digitally restoring them and are going to release them slowly over a long period of time to make as much money as possible off of them.  I think the only reason they released these early was because they couldn't hold off the rumors anymore.
If it's true we'll find out soon enough...

Doctor Who Missing episodes

The Beebs has put rest to the rumors that have been circulating all summer.  Lost episodes have been recovered.  How many and which ones have yet to be revealed.  All the BBC has officially announced is that a "Number" of episodes were recovered and that they will be made available digitally.  Now, since these rumors have been circulating for, oh so long, one wonders if these episodes were held deliberately, either to coincide with the anniversary or to be cleaned up digitally.  Also one wonders if the lost episodes will hold up to the memories of the fans.  I, for one, never saw anything earlier then the "new" Doctor in it's original broadcast so I have no old memories to interfere with.  I started with Tennant and went both forward and backwards from there.  I find the old episodes make me appreciate the new and the new, the old.  No matter how many episodes or what the condition, I will be grateful because it is more than I started with.  Waiting till Thursday's announcement or till I hear the T.A.R.D.I.S. calling....

My Burlington Island Memories

I grew up on stories of Burlington Island and the BOIM, literally at my father’s knee.  I was taught that the Island was a great resource to be respected and one day it would be known all over and save Burlington.  I spent time on the Island as an Island manger’s daughter.  I have many stories of hidden treasures and the former dirt mounds caused by former dredging.
I also grew up as a democrat.  I was taken to democratic meetings.  I worked disturbing flyers (once), and making phone calls, and watching polls as a challenger.
I went to a private school were there were about 9 girls.  They were teenage girls to be precise.  If you want to study cliques and social mores in tight knit groups this is how you should do it.  I tried my best to stay out of it and was mostly successful.  I think that once the teacher even asked me to intervene.
When I went to my first Island Board meeting, I was invited on board stationary by the president to a workshop meeting, a new concept at the time.  The BOIM had just release the RFP.  This was only possible after working with Diane Allen to adjust the charter for a longer lease.  The BOIM also had to lease the City owned half of the island.  Without these things, the island would never be able to be developed.
I had heard from my father about the existing animosity between certain board members.  In my naïveté I thought my ability from my school days would be helpful and apply to the BOIM.  I thought perhaps the Board members could get together outside the meetings, have a few drinks, eat a few noshes and NOT talk BOIM business.  You know, they could get to know each other as people.  Most people could resolve issues in such simple ways.
I was utterly mistaken.  The animosity was such that these differences could never be resolved.  I don’t think the parties involved even know what originally caused the rift, but the hatred has grown such, that there is no way back.
It seems such a shame to me that people waste their time.  I have grown up listening to what Burlington Island COULD BE.  I listened to stories of what it could do for BURLINGTON.   The Island sits there.  It’s been sitting there for four years since Dad has been off the board.  I think one of the last things he did was approve (Karen) the Woolman Corporation.
I was on the board for one year.  I had one vote.  I voted against the guy who is now unable to fix or access the website.  I voted against the lawyer, since we had a pro bono lawyer that wanted to work for us.  Since I have been off the Board, I have suggested several fundraising ideas including: t-shirts with advertising to cover the cost; using paypal on the website (when it’s fixed); starting a fundrazer or indiego-go page.  I have suggested these thing several times.  I connected the BOIM with girls who sold bracelets for the BOIM and raised over $600.

These are just a few things from my Island memories.  One day I will sit down and write some more.

What’s up G4/Esquire?

Nine months ago I said goodbye to some good friends.  I saw them every weekday, sometimes on the holidays.  (4/20 is holiday isn’t?) I was told that they had to go to a nice farm in the country.  Ok.  Not Really.  I’m talking about G4 being acquired by Esquire and telling Attack of the Show to vamoose.  I, along with many, many geeks, was rightfully upset.  I have had nine months, however, to understand and try to come to terms with this terrible loss to geekdom.  I have now found out that Esquire, in addition to acquiring the rights to G4’s signal, have acquired an additional signal.  They now have TWO channels on my TV.  One is still called G4 and is running reruns of COPS CAMPUS PD HEROS LOST AIRWOLF and various infomercials.  The one called ESQUIRE has a few new programs and has filled the rest of its time with various movies, reruns and you guessed it, INFOMERCIALS.  For this we gave up our channel of geekdom?  Our Nerdtopia?  Please someone out there start a fundrazr to buy back G4 with Kevin and Olivia and Chris.  Chris can run it.  I’m sure he wants his own tv network.  Pretty Please?  With a cherry on top?

50th Anniversary Day of The Doctor WHERE ARE THE ZYGONS AND QUEEN ELIZABETH?

Wow that's a long title.  Well, let's start with what we know, supposedly. 75 minutes long, offered simulcast on TV and selected theaters world wide.  There will be the bio-pic about Verity Lambert, the first producer of Doctor Who, and what it took to get it running.  There is supposed to be an "unannounced" surprise coming yet.  Rumors are also running that several of the Classic Doctors were seen hanging around the BBC, carring signs that said "No Classic Doctor, No Who", but of course this could be a red herring,

So you’re looking at them handsome gentlemen not quite smiling up there, and saying, what is wrong with this poster.  Well, most people were soo busy having heart palpitations over the pretty boys, I was busy examining the rest of the poster.  One of the first things I notice was under MATT SMITH’S armpit is a brick wall with BAD WOLF on it.  Well know we know which version of Ten and ROSE we will be receiving. Also notice what is MISSING, the Zygons!  I never saw the 70's epsiode in which they were features but after all the fuss they made they should be on the poster.  Neither is Queen Elizabeth or the actress that is supposed to play her Joanne Page.  Hmm...   Then I noticed the shadow for John Hurt has a longer scarf then he is wearing.  I think it is a way to honor Tom Baker with out him being in the program.  Then, who could miss the giant mechanical hand, the stairwell, and the burning DALEKS.  Although they were announced previously.  If you look Careful behind John Hurt you can see the TARDIS, maybe exploding,There also appear to be Cybermen and a Time Lord Seal.  Also the cloud formation behind Matt is more squared off and the clouds behind Tennant are more round.  This appears to match the time tunnel for the credits.  I hope stuff comes out soon.  REAL SOOOOONNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coin Flip Poems

Everyone holds in them the possibility of being light or dark, hope and

joy.  Here are two poems that show both sides of the coin, so to speak.

JARS OF CLAY
Jars of clay can’t capture of hearts
Hands can’t hold our spirits
Break us down to our component parts
We still retain our specialness
In the break of dawn we will rise
Our hearts will soar to new heights
Every new day we sing new praise
Tomorrow brings new challenges

                                                                                                               JUST OUT OF REACH
Reaching for the stars just out of grasp
                                                                                                    Falling further and further away
                                                                                                                               I don’t know
                                                                                                             I keep reaching overhead
                                                                                                        Knowing they just get away
The stars will align for their own desperate need
Needing no help for anyone here
                                                                                                                    Why should I think
                                                                                                         That I’m someone special?
                                                                                                                 I shed one single tear

Domino Effect

So I saw a box of dominoes the other day and it started me thinking.  When I was in fourth grade, dominoes were THE thing.  My whole class was obsessed.  We spent a long time setting up a chain that went all the way around the classroom.  Now, I am a bit older then I let on.  At this time there was no YouTube, no iPhones, heck there were barely cell phone and computers.  We didn't built this domino domination for any specific purpose.(Although, there was talk of Ripley’s)  We did it for the sheer joy of building something, of having fun.  Do kids do this anymore?  Do they have fun?  Everything is done with a purpose or an eye towards getting ahead.  If you do something fabulous, you can get famous.  You can have a singing career, if someone notices you on YouTube.  Heck, even I've fallen prey to it at times.  I’m writing this aren't I?  We, as a society, have lost our joy.  Then, we wonder why we haven’t figured out solution to our problems.  Joy leads to creativity.  Without joy we have no imagination.  We need to shut out the constant pressure to achieve and simply build for the joy of building.  Our houses look like cardboard cutouts of one another, just like some of our pictures.  We take pictures for the purpose of sharing them but not for the purpose of taking pictures.  I believe we took better pictures when we had to pay to get them developed.  It all comes down to the same thing.  Our technology is making an impact on our society and I’m not sure that it is having the most desired effect.  But like the dominoes, once started the ripples can’t be stopped unless you try.

50th Sneak peeks Doctor Who

I told you so
So this came up on my Twitter.  I dutifully watched through all the video.  In the last, and I mean last minute or two of video, there is a clip on set with David Tennant and Matt Smith.  There is no action just them standing there.  But the clip is in a forest.  Not on a plain in Edinburgh.  Not in the Castle.  Not in any of the photos that we were allowed to see.  I told you that they were filming in secret.  Now all bets are off.

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12:Part 12 The New Guy

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

Part 12 The New Guy

So we have a new Doctor in the house.  I haven’t seen any of Peter Capadli‘s work except Doctor Who and Torchwood:COE.  I’m not sure how he will be as The Doctor.  He strikes me as a cross between Chris Ecceslston and Peter Davisdon.  He seems like he will be serious but with a wry sense of humour.  There is one important thing to note though.  Moffat said story ARC.  That implies a set period of time.  I give him one, two years tops.  Then we will be going through this all over again.  It seems we will always be getting our hearts broken with the Doctor.  I think I know why.  He can never belong to us.  Like Martha Jones discovered, he not for us, he’s for the universe.  Rose couldn’t have him either, she only got half, the human half in fact.  The Doctor is more important than we know.  We should be grateful that we have had such wonderful men to play him and be hopeful that we get as much time as possible with him.  After all he’s already in his 13th incarnation if you count John Hurt’s character as cannon.   And Time Lords only get 12 regenerations!

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 : Part 11- Matt and the Master???

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

Part 11- Matt and the Master???

So Matt Smith the 11th doctor has yet to have his swan song, or has he?  In The Impossible Astronaut the Doctor dies.  It turns out to be the Tessalector, of course, but we were left wondering for most of a season.  This could be a preview of how the doctor dies.  He goes willing with no regret.  He walks into it with his head held high.  I would love to see Matt tangle with the Master but I don’t see that in the cards.  I could see a surprise appearance by River.  I think the Daleks or Cybermen will do the Deed.  Then Peter will come in hands blazing with regeneration power and zap them to death.

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12: Part 10 Bye- Bye Cutie Pie

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

Part 10- Bye- Bye Cutie Pie
The Doctor has been warned several times by the Ood that the end of time was coming, the end was coming.  He still goes to Earth to find out why the visions point to this time and this place.  He runs into Wilf.(Donna Noble’s Grandfather)  The Doctor tells Wilf that he’s not finished yet.  Wilf tells him to leave.  The Doctor refuses to abandon Earth.
Then we see the Master's plan take shape.  He is regenerated but badly. (Is the Regeneration system broken down,LOL?) The Master wants to gift the Earth and all its people to the Time Lords.  Then he realizes they planned this since he was a child and were probably at fault for him being bat S^*! crazy.  In a twist, the Master saves the Doctor and is sucked back into the Time War with the Gallifrian High Council hopefully never to be seen again.
Then Doctor begins to travel back and forth to his companions without crossing his own time line.(don’t cross the streams!)  I think one of the most likely to cause tears moments is him meeting Rose again, for the last time, before she ever meets him and she has no idea who he is.(you’re gonna have a great year)  Also heart wrenching is the last line, “I don’t want to go”.  It’s not said begging or whining (whinging for you Brits) but like a baby bird about to fledge. The nest is nice and comfy, there’s mom and dad, free food, why leave?  But now harder times are coming because not all their prophecies are fulfilled.
There’s more to come.  Then the Doctor wakes up to a crashing ship and the first thing he checks is his hair length and color.  He seems more concerned about his appearance then the fact that his ship, his beloved TARDIS is literally burning itself apart.  When he lands he seems more concerned about playing with his food then fixing his ship.  Also it tunrs out this little girl needs his help.

Up Next Part 11

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12:Part 8 UnCancelled

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

Part 8 UnCancelled
In 2005 BBC decided it was time to un-cancel Doctor Who.  There was no introduction of the Doctor’s character or regeneration. They gave no background in the first story but they did choice a familiar “monster” for the first story, the Autons.  This Doctor was no longer child-like and innocence.  He was a quick witted action star along the lines of James Bond and Ethan Hunt from M:I.  He dressed in black leathers and spoke with a Northern Accent (everywhere has a north).   He had serious romantic interests in his “companion” now a true leading lady.  He even had romantic interest in men.  There are rumors that this is why Christopher Eccelston left after one year.  He supposedly didn't like the direction the story line was headed.  These were never confirmed.  He just opted not to renew his contract.  The new series gives a second new permanent character in the “person” of the TARDIS.  It seems to have a life of it’s own. It opens to show all of space and time to Rose.  She cannot handle this information or it will burn out her human brain.  The Doctor kisses her and absorbs it and causes himself to regenerate.  This also sets up the Doctor to have all the information in the universe.

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12:Part 7 A Tv Movie and a break

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

Part 7 A Tv Movie and a break
This brings us to the TV Movie.  This is one of the most elaborate regeneration sequences.  There have been many who call it messianic.  The Doctor has landed in America, San Francisco specially.  He mentions that he is only half Time Lord.  This is the first time the Doctor kisses someone, which caused major controversy.  There is a very American stamp to the movie.  There are explosions and big budge SFX.  It was intended to be the start of a new series in America but it never got off the ground.  Scheduling conflicts and politics got in the way.  Also Americans tend to like our British TV, BRITISH, not Americanized.  It was an iconic failure.  Everyone thought that the Doctor was finished.

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12: Part 6 We've got magic to do

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

Part 6-

After a brief break, Sylvester McCoy was brought in as the next doctor.  From his first moments, he made his mark.  He moved and acted differently from the other Doctors.  He was a complete departure from Colin Baker’s crazy, mad Doctor.  The sixth Doctor was more intellectual but still personal.  He was a jaunting, jocular Doctor easy with a magic trick or two to pull out.  We go back to the regular order of events and episodes.  Although the series never regained the rating and love it had in the 70’s with Tom Baker, Sylvester did a wonderful job creating a new twist on an old character.  He never got a regeneration of the TV series but later was called in to regenerate into Paul McGann for the TV movie.

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12: Part 5- Trials and Tribulations

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

 Part 5- Trials and Tribulations
An epic production of length, Trial of a Time Lord, finds the Doctor having to defend his life, his lifestyle and personal choices.  The punishment for being found guilty would be permanent death.  Several things are mentioned often about this episode that do not seem to fit in to traditional Doctor Who lore.  Many people objected to the death of Peri so they made it not happen.  There is a lot of jumping about, mental, in this episode and it doesn't seem to flow properly.  The internal issues at BBC had plagued Colin Baker’s tenure as the Doctor and would flavor even his death.  He didn't even get a proper regeneration.

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12:Part 4- Strifes, Strikes and a Trial

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

Part 4- Strifes, Strikes and a Trial
Caves of Androzoni was not an overwhelming episode.  It played off the ideas of Phantom of the Opera with the ultimate goal of eternal life.  Why do evil masterminds never get creative?  They are always searching for ultimate power or eternal life.  For a regeneration story, this lacks pizzazz.  The Doctor sacrifices himself to save Tegan.  The budget restraints of the BBC again show their ugly head.  The regeneration sequences seem unfinished.  In later interviews the Director and producers et all, indicated that there HAD been more planned with the SFX and filming more dialogue to be shot.  There was a strike or two to work around.  Not a good beginning for Colin Baker’s Doctor.  His first story was Twin Dilemma.  A sub par plot of a would be tyrant trying to take over the universe.  This Who episode has some of the worst Doctor Who cliches, including rubber masks, running down endless corridors over and over again, and 1980’s SFX.  There is a second Time Lord present and we don’t get much information about him of the Time Lords.  Also he dies without regenerating!  Colin Baker went on to have the worst time in the TARDIS.  The threat of cancellation was constantly over head, and several strikes ending up closing down BBC for significant periods of time.  This causes The Doctor to be put on Trial.  In the show it was the Time Lord high counsel but in reality it was BBC.

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 Part 3-For whom the Bell Tolls

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

Part three- For whom the Bell Tolls
When Tom Baker decided to leave I’m sure the BBC was in a lurch.  Would the show survive?  But this is what regenerations are made for!  In a three part series, The Keeper of Trakken/ Logopolis/ Castrovalia, Tom Baker left the show and Peter Davison took over the role of The Doctor.  Logopolis is a kind of messy episode, jumping all over the place.  This is the first time the Cloister Bell is heard, sounding alarm.  The Doctor decides to fix the chameleon circuit after who knows how many years it’s been broken.  Then the Master shows up.  Then we are on an alien planet to fix the TARDIS and the Master follows.  It seems like a script writer was given certain elements and told to make it work.  But it doesn't.  Then we have the Doctor crossing his own time stream.  Don’t cross the streams.  Then the Doctor has trouble with his regeneration.  What do his companions decide to do?  They play “Which Way” with the TARDIS, immediately falling into a trap set by the Master.  It is not till the end of Castrovalia that we get a idea of what the new Doctor is about.  This may have been done on purpose to place more time between Tom Baker and Peter Davidson.  When we do get the Doctor new clothes, it is an outfit of cricket clothes(that aren't really cricket clothes) and celery.  I’m sure at the time no one knew what to think.  Later producer said that this costuming was because of a newly growing American audience.  We also have a superfluity of companions.  No Doctor until David Tennant has ever had more “companion” in the TARDIS at once.  This overload of characters caused issues with plot development.  They were eventually written out to help concentrate on character development.

Regenerations #1-11 Part Two Leftbridge-Stewart and More

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

Part Two- UNIT, Leftbridge-Stewart and More
So now we know the Doctor can regenerate, although it was not called that yet.  The term renewal is used.  The Doctor has resumed his traveling ways.  He has new companions and new adventures.  Most of these adventures are missing due to a cleaning at the BBC.  Those who were alive should count themselves lucky to have seen such Classic Doctor Who.  But all good things must end. (Where have I heard that before?)  For Pat Troughton’s last episode we find the Doctor, Zoe and Jamie literally in the middle of a war zone.  It turns out that the Time Lords are having war games with each other.  They are using humans from different historical periods to fight their battles for them. (Could this be a foreshadowing of the Time War to come perhaps?)  When The Doctor finally figures out what is going on he has no choice, he must contact the Time Lords.  The Doctor has been a fugitive from his own people and they intend to punish him for it.  They force him to regenerate.  This is the first time we are shown that Time Lords have powers other than just having the ability to travel through time.  It is also shown that Time Lords can control regeneration.  There is a glimpse of the mental powers that Time Lords have but it is never quiet fulfilled either to the audience’s satisfaction.  End scene, fade to black, Hello new doctor.  A rock fall from space and according to the Time Lords, an Angel has fallen from grace.  The Doctor is now to be confined to Earth under the sentence of the Time Lords.  The TARDIS is barely functional.  How will the new Doctor handle this?  With aplomb, wit, and cool rides apparently.  The Doctor is now an advisor to UNIT(which at this point stands for United Nations Task Force) He’s the superspy granddad kids wish they had.  He also has a new enemy, The Master, a ying to his yang.  He does rather rant occasionally about not be able to leave Earth.  He also spends much time trying to fix his TARDIS.  The third doctor’s first episode establishes this more proactive character, a more theatrical incarnation.  He is also very physical, due to the fact that Jon Pertwee had been in the Navy.  He was the only incarnation of The Doctor to have a tattoo.  It was never mentioned, mostly covered and occasionally seen.  The Doctor is paired up with his old Friend Leftbridge-Stewart.  He has the distinction of having met the most incarnations of the Doctor. The restriction of remaining on Earth was due to the BBC, not the Time Lords.  These budget cuts affected the show if you look, although the series did begin to shoot in color.

Regenerations #1-11 and What’s in Store for #12 A twelve part series on the episodes, serials, and one Movie that surround the most iconic piece of Doctor Who Cannon, The Regeneration and what will be coming for Peter Capaldi

Part One- DOCtrine, cannon whatever you choose to call it, Numbero Uno, The First
William Hartnell was the first.  When he decided to leave the show for health reason the BBC had to make a decision cancel the show or continue on.  They didn’t want to cancel the show and they didn’t want to cover it up like the American stations did on Bewitched(look it up)  Footage is rare except that of the actual regeneration, although at the time it was called a renewal.  Unfortunately most of the episode Tenth planet is missing.  I can’t say how Harntnell acted out his last lines, or how Pat Troughton went about establishing his person and quirks.  This regeneration also sets up the tone for how all future regenerations are experienced.  If it had failed, we would not be talking about a man in a blue box today.  This is the only pre/post regeneration sequence I have not PERSONALLY seen, excluding the clips that remain.  The transcripts I believe are available due to zealous fans who recorded the audio for TV shows so they could “watch them again and again.( Go, right now, kiss your DVR! Then kiss wherever  magic device you use to surf the web.  It is thanks to them, and people who imagine bright futures watching shows like Star Trek and Doctor Who, no other TV show will ever have this problem again.)  There have been rumors floating around for years that these tapes actually exist.  If they were mine I would make sure the world could have them.  That being said maybe they are holding them for the 50th

A Sharp word on Pointy things… Razors

I’m not sure about everyone else but these new and improved razors are neither new nor improved.  They have flexible heads.  Why? If you are shaving any part of the human anatomy you will certainly find bumps.  Bumps mean cuts and razor burn which hurt like the dickens.  Also a portion of the population (namely me) has shaky hands.  Shaky hands and a flexible head razor together foretell the start of a horror movie.  The handles have improved but for people with certain hand issues that can cause trouble.  A thicker handle with rubber grips would be a start in the right direction.  I can’t complain too much about the amount of blades.  The more blades on a smaller surface the less surface area each blade touches.  This basic knowledge of physics has saved me many Band-Aids and tissues to stop bleeding.  I simply look for the highest blade count.  Unfortunately, they have decided to drop the blade counts.  I have trouble finding 5 blades and 4 are starting to disappear too.  The other thing they do is put these moisture bars around the blades themselves.  All the bars do is make the surface your trying to shave slick.  If you wanted that, you would use shaving cream.  Don’t put added lubrication on the handle of the sharp object you are placing against delicate places of your skin.  As far as packaging in the store, I understand that you have to have the teaser pack with only one replacement blade.  Why not offer a second option with a full replacement set of razors and a small lotion bottle for a little more money?

In fact why not do what the bathing suit companies have now started to embrace, mix and match?  I think a company could stand to make a lot of money by coming out with a line of razors that were mix and match.  Offer several different handles.  Think and sleek, Male and Female, one for those with motor issues, even training handle.  Then offered separately the blades, that fit only your company’s handles.  Different blade counts, pivot or not pivoting, with or without lotion strips.  My goodness you could even offer different scented strips to change out every day!

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Trailer

So we kinda got a fiftieth trailer… Well the 2000 people that were at comic con got a trailer.  The rest of us got the promise of a trailer sometime in the future.  We also got threatened if anything leaked to YouTube that there would be no more goodies at comic con for us(them).  Well the trailer for “An Adventure in Time and Space” leaked already.  Guys, if you were gonna leak a trailer and get us in trouble you leaked the WRONG ONE!!!! Fortunately several media outlets had coverage and described the trailer in detail for us.
It doesn’t seem to reveal anything that wasn’t in the “press kit”, excuse me, media coverage from April when the “filming” went on.  There were no real “gotcha” moments.  We knew the Daleks would show up.  We knew there would be a wand weighing, sorry, sonic screwdriver comparison.  The catchphrases MUST be used.  Everyone had pretty much guessed that the Time War would be involved.  I wanted some new details.  I want to know who else is in it.  We know like 10 cast members.  How can you do a 1 to 2 hour movie with 10 cast members?  How long is it?  I’ve heard anywhere from 1 to 2 hours.  John Barrowman said he wasn’t involved.  When Moffat said Jack might be back, was he just being mean?  Is River going to show up?  Will the other Doctors be involved either live or digitally?  Moffat is just plain mean!  Oh well, we get to stew for another 4 months.  Or until they put up a REAL trailer!

P.S. BBC has already pulled the one leaked trailer so if you missed it you weren't fast enough!

P.P.S. Check out my Regenerations twelve part review and other blogs.

It Is The Length That Matters… The Strap Length That IS

So is it just me or have people forgotten how to adjust guitar straps?  It seems to be an epidemic lately!  It sounds catty maybe but if you are performing on stage you have to think about stage presence and how you look to your audience.  I have seen a rash of performers, both male and female, with guitars that are too high or low on their body or too small or large for their frame.  Yes, it is an instrument and it matters what it sounds like but if you like Alice in Wonderland or like you stole your kid’s toy it destroys the image of a rock god!  I know this isn’t my usual rant but I needed to get this out there.  Your guitar should be proportional to your body and sit at your hip.  Also if you don’t have your guitar strap situated properly, you will sustain injuries to your shoulders, hands, hips, and fingers.  Sorry, just wanted to rant!

Poems

Pieces
A broken shell
Lies in the sand
A thousand feet pass by it
A million waves crash around it
The sun beats down upon it
It waits patiently for something
But no one wants
A disconnected piece
A reminder of the past
And still it lies

Images
Wanting something more
A wanton pleasure waiting,
Weathering every storm
Together.
Tomorrow waits for no one
As a team, we trade and transcend.
Pleasure pacifies people.

As we pretend to be

I Refuse To Fall in Love

I refuse to fall in love
Lest our muse align
Our stars line up
And our voices join in song

I refuse to fall in love
Till the end of eternity
Till the sun stops burning
And my heart stops beating

So until I find my perfection
Until the stars align
Unless I find my soulmate
I will only be MINE!

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary MY Guesses

What do we know?  First we know that the Doctor get called to UNIT for some reason.   Let’s assume (I know, never assume) that they send a signal out to the doctor and accidentally call 11 AND 10.  That accounts for Tennant and Billy Piper being there.  They tell him that they have a creature claiming to be Elizabeth the first in custody and they need him to verify who she is.  She says that she came through a time bubble at Loch Ness so that makes her suspect because that’s where the Zygons were last.  This also accounts for a different actress playing the role.  She turns into a Zygon but she is from the 70’s.  There is still a time bubble.  The Time War is starting to unlock from the Time Lock The Doctor (John Hurt) put on it.  Lord Benthem and The General are the First Time Lords to come through and try to warn The Doctor.  We get to see lots of CGI and Green Screen of the Time War, a regeneration or two (8 to 9, 9 to 10 maybe), some flashbacks of the doctor running away (because the doctor always runs), and we get a plausible explanation for why The Doctor get more the 13 regenerations and why regeneration 13 wasn’t The Valeyard like it was supposed to be. (Maybe he sacrifices a specific regeneration to make the Time Lock that would be a good one to give up)  Of course this is Moffat.  He lies.  The Doctor lies.  Or so we’ve been told.  It is a nice story to cover the fact that they don’t pay the researchers enough.   I think I managed to cover all the shots they’ve let us see.  They certainly have been generous with what they WANT us to see.  However, what we didn’t see it something else.  I am still half betting that the whole thing was filmed on a sound stage and the stuff we saw was staged to make us believe what Moffat wants us to believe.  The only reason that didn’t figure into my plot theory is that the Beebs is too cheap to let Moffat film and throw away the tape.  Even if those shots become an additional episode somewhere on a DVD.  I know that film will be used somewhere.  I wonder if anyone bothered to notice if the cameras they were using were 3D or not?  That would make a difference.

Okay what do you think?  Am I right?  Were they faking?  Is my Plot spot on?  Sound off in the comments!

Twelve guesses for the Twelfth doctor

1.Someone no one has ever heard of- This is my number one pick.  This is the general direction they go.  Most of the doctors were unknown when they were cast.  There was only one that had a heavy TV presence going in was Peter Davidson.
2.Hugh Laurie- He seems to be the front runner.  I personally think that he is a great actor but he brings too much baggage to the role.  The Doctor as a druggie??
3.Ruppert Grint- He also seems to be a crowd favorite.  I could see it, but again he brings the baggage of previous roles.  Expecto patronium TARDIS?
4.Colin Morgan- I personal like this choice but the producers would never go for it.  He was already in an episode. (Midnight) I think he has the ability to take the Doctor in a new direction.
5.Karen Gillan- Admit it, I made you think.  It has been shown that Time Lords can control the regeneration, remember Romana? The Doctor could be Scottish AND a Lady AND a Ginger!  Hurts your head doesn’t it?!
6.Idris Elba- I personally see him as too serious for the role but it seems worth mentioning.
7.Andrew Lee Potts- I think he’s funny and not so well associated with any character.  He’s not too old and plays funny and bumbling well.
8.Jonas Amrstrong- I loved him in Robin Hood. He might be a touch too serious though.
9.Sam Troughton- Good with the comedy, loved him in Robin Hood and Bonus Pat Troughton’s grandson!
10.Marina Sirtis- Someone else said this.  I thought about and it would be a different way to go.  I’m not sure it would play well with all the audiences.  I love her though!
11.Aidian Turner- He’s cute and broody.  What else can you say?  Wait, I take that back, he’s hot!
   12.Damien Molony- See above.

Okay, so you can tell I’m US based because I picked a lot of BBC America actors.  I think they will pick someone that no one knows because that is what they always do.  I don’t know why we bother picking or guessing.  If I had my druthers I would pick either Karen or Sam.  That would make my day! :)
*Thank You to www.imdb.com for the actor profile links!:)
and the Tardis Data Core for Romana's particulars! :)

Pledge donations for PBS

I've always watched PBS. When I was a kid I watched Sesame Street and Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood and Where in the World is Carmen San Deigo? As I grew up I watched the after school specials. Now I watch the documentaries and music specials. The good programs always run during pledge week and I understand that, really I do. I hadn't seen a special in awhile, since their funding had been cut. The new pledge levels are $7.50, $20. and $25. But that is a pledge to donate that amount of money for a year. So actually the pledge amount is $90, $240, and $300. The corporation for public broadcasting is acting like a real corporation. Most people will sign away hundreds of dollars not realizing that they are doing so and add on to the financial misery that is so burdening of country right now. PBS is about to sit down for their end of year reports and financial statements for the fiscal year. (There’s ends in June) Please forward this or your own feelings on this and maybe we can save some people from spending money they don’t have by changing a corporation that should know better with morals that same corporation taught us.

Orphans and Mad Men in Blue Boxes

So, tonight saw a double blow in BBC America viewing public's hearts. First, the break out hit Orphan Black finished its freshman run with massive reveals, spoilers and quite a few OMG moments.  Second, it was announced almost timed to coincide with the airing of Orphan Black that Matt Smith would not be returning to the TARDIS next season.  Wow!  Can we hurt anymore?

First, let start with Orphan Black. If you have not been watching this amazing show, shame on you.  Go back now, we'll wait.  Ok, caught up now?  It’s great, right? So Evil Proclone is the original I think.  I can't believe Mrs. S is evil.  I think she probably worked for the company and had a change of heart like Delphine. That's why Mrs. S moved to the US.  I don't understand why Mrs. S. ran with Kirra, though.  I can't believe Alison killed the neighbor, although I knew the Donnie was the monitor.  Remember Donnie mentioned that he dated in college when he was broken up with Alison? I bet it turns out to be a clone too!  I’m willing to bet Helena rises from the grave or is not really dead, mainly because she's a really good character.  I want to know how Sara and Paul escaped the elevator because that looked really cool and there were guards upstairs and downstairs.  If the clones were made in the US, I believe that the constitution would guarantee their rights based on the 13th amendment. Okay, I think I got everything. Whew!

Now on to our favorite Time Lord! Allon-sy!  Maybe David Tennant will return.  Ha, but a girl can dream can't she! *Sigh* Now I'm questioning every single word that has come down from on high from BBC regarding the 50th because they had already made a statement saying that Matt was making season 8.  So why should we believe any statement up to and including who is starring in the special?  All names go back in the hat.  Also I had said before that the scenes shot did not seem to jive with what the official press release said.  Also Matt said painting, but Matt said staying so...

We now return you to your regularly scheduled reruns...
Orphan Black returns Spring 2014
Doctor Who 50th Anniversary airs 23/11/13

N.B.
I forgot to mention that both Tatiana Maslany and Jordan Gavaris deserve EMMY's! THEY ARE EXTRORDINARY ACTORS!  I wish them the best of luck during the upcoming award season, not that they need it, they are shoe ins. :):):)

Hope, Belonging, Rescue: Three Poems

Hope
Help me love find
The heart that you stole
So I might live
To love
So tenderly
You
And only you
When the wind
Becomes the sea
Shall I have never
Belong to thee

Belonging
The whispers of the day
The coming of the dawn
The hope and the feeling
Knowing you belong
To one who loves you
Night and day
Forever and Tomorrow
Till day goes away
And never comes home
Till Janes and Johns
Will never have known
I love you forever
Forgetting nothing but you

Rescue
Gone through a window
Around the block
Better luck next time
Ever shall my love be
Re murmured through the night
Instead of being with you
Even as I write
Love holds me bound
From screaming out in fright
Hopeless lost
In the love of my dream
Until you come and claim me
From this restless unending dream
Back through the window
Erasing all thoughts
Loving forever
But still the night haunts
Me as I sit, alone and waits
What could I have made you
Run off like the wind?
Oh well, until the dawn my love
I shall close my eyes
And dream of the rescue
Until my name
Becomes your
Forever

Lost Poetry Gryphon, Sweet Strawberry Wine, Untitled

(Originally Written Circa 1994)

Gryphon

You left me to
Live alone
And serenely I wait
By the phone
It rings
“You’ve won tons of cash”
I don’t care
I just want my baby back
Admit that you
Are wrong
And I’ll admit I sang
The wrong song
You were my friend
But now you’re gone
I’ll have to live
Life goes on
But feelings die
To rise from the embers
Forget I knew you
But always remember
True love won’t die
And friendships can end
I guess that you were only my friend

Sweet Strawberry Wine
Down to the water line,
Far from the town,
So sweet strawberry wine
Thoughts go round and round
Under the starry skies
Away beneath the night
Oh how hard he tried
To keep us warm that night
Later life went on
As it always will
Although that night at dawn
Will stay with me still
My head has run out
Of rhymes, of time, of love
I no longer feel safe within myself
You fill my heart, my soul, my mind
My life is yours to do as you wish

Untitled
Blooms in May never smelled as sweet
As when smelled with you
Birds sing sweeter when heard with you
Touch feels better when given by you
The sweetest dessert cannot compare to the taste of your lips
I see nothing but the beauty of your eyes
You are my everything, my life, my love, my passion,
You are you,
My all and my everything

Skinny Girls in Tight Jeans

There has been some major outrage lately over a certain store not carrying plus sized clothing.  Why?  Most name brand retailers don’t.  If they don’t the selection is limited or not designed to fit larger sized bodies.  It is simply sized up versions of the main line.  In some cases this works but in the rest it does not.  Larger bodies, men or women, are built on different lines then smaller ones.  The proportions are different, the clothes lay differently.  There are one or two retailers that cater to larger sizes but they seem to think that those of larger proportions are of middling age or better.  Rarely is anything in style.  The one exception I have seen is Torrid.  Unfortunately, they also follow the rule of use the designers’ ideas from the runway lines.  Not everything is made to flatter larger bodies.  It CAN be done.  There are a few boutiques in Manhattan, or so I’ve heard.  Again, unfortunately, these are also high priced.
The fashion industry needs to step up to the plate.  The country is full of larger people.  They need clothes.  They need reasonably priced clothes.  They need clothes that fit them well and flatter them.  They also need advertising directed towards them.  I’m tired of seeing certain companies that advertise their clothing with models that barely eat.  There is a need to be met.  If someone was smart, they would not only step up to the plate to meet that need but make a pretty penny doing so.  Just saying!

THE NAME OF THE DOCTOR AND FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY

So I read some of the online reviews of The Name of The Doctor.  I was… hmm… awed, shocked, flabbergasted?  I’m not sure.  Apparently, the scuttlebutt is that Moffett is a misogynistic pig who hates little children, lives to scare them and really wants to screw with the press by not sending out the full episode in the press release.  I can understand the press frustration.  Although Moffett is the producer and has a hand in the script direction and writes a few of the scripts he does not write them all.  He cannot be blamed for everything, even if you want to.  Anytime you have a major male leading character and a secondary female character there is going to be a damsel-in-distress situation that comes up.  It is a fundamental of storytelling.  As far as the complaints that the Doctor has been more “earthy” as of late, that is what society has become.  If the show did not change to reflect society, it would have been off the air years ago.
Now as to the developments in the plot, did anyone notice that Riversong was physically linked to Clara?  Why?  Why not Vastra or Jenny or the Doctor?  Clara also had the ability to read Gallifrian, maybe, in Journey to the Center of The TARDIS.  Also I didn’t like the Whispermen personally.  I think there are much scarier monsters.  Whispering angels scare the bejesus out of me, for example.
Hopefully the 50th answers some of the plot holes that you could drive a giant Mack truck through.  For instance, if the Doctor’s life was being destroyed then he would never have died on Trenzalor.  So therefore he wouldn’t have been on Trenzalor in the first place.  So busted, Moffet.  Also why introduce John Hurt as the Doctor if he “didn’t live up to the Promise” or whatever?   The current going theory is that the 50th will discuss the time war.  But that doesn’t add up to the set shots that “leaked” out.  They seemed to point to a episode that dealt with Elizabeth the first and UNIT and the Zygons.  Also there was the cryptic clue that Matt Smith said “paintings”.  WTH.  Of course, that could be a red herring.  It could all be red herrings and here we are looking for clues in the wrong ocean, so to speak.  Maybe the shots that leaked out are from season eight and DT is back to stay?  We can only wish! Maybe Van Gogh is involved in the 50th? Cezanne? Who knows? Or more appropriately, Who knows! Actually we will on the 23rd! Where did I park my TARDIS?
