Tomorrow seems so far away

A long night, a bitter fight

Keeping creeping nightmares at bay

The sun appears and as the end nears

The fear is gone and dying

Time is telling, Joy is welling

There can be no denying

Revelations

So terrified of what it means

What calls in the dark of night

You are the brightest of light

Keeping me from losing my cool

Coming apart at the seams

My battered knight in armor

No longer shiny and new

It’s not anyone’s place to judge

Intolerable what people think they can do

To figures on paper-mache

Used for money or power

Not important for what they portray

Kings no longer have power
