One step ahead and two behind

Getting the pacing just right

If the world falls away could we walk hand in hand?

And finally step into the light?

Does it matter who is in the front now?

Does it matter who brings up the rear?

If one of us follows the other,

We will end up together, my dear.

My solution in the end is simple,

We stop this running around.

Find a spot that we can settle down now,

And we will have nothing to fear.

We must face the coming day

Learning the pacing and way

Time to join the fray

Not wanting to give your heart

 Is it time to break into parts?

They call my trollop or tart

I don’t intend the start to sin
