In the daylight,

When your name falls trippingly from my tongue
And you enter my consciousness
We breathe together into the night
Bodies and hearts entwined
The world goes away
Nothing exists but us
The darkness is enveloping

Playing, laughing,
And coming to hear,
Sounds in the darkness,
Sweet to my ear.

It's not that I have faltered I'm falling
Into a deep and endless abyss

Head in to the growing myst
Thoughts take form and shape
No longer and amorpheous blob

A silent hole is growing

Someday never comes

Tomorrow waits for none

If you can hear me, answer

Cause my darkness screams in the night

My throat is raw, I’ve screamed so much

My tears burn fire down my cheeks

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever ended

My terror frightens me

Blank Canvas

I might be in over my head

This boulder is rolling down the cliffside

I only wanted to share my joy

But I might lose what I find most precious

The harsh light causes me to shut my eyes

But its warmth still causes me to smile

And reaching up, pull the shutters closed

I wonder if there is a way to have

Both the light and darkness

My indecision has cost me in the past

There are ghost that whisper my name

Hard drives can never be truly erased

Everyone has files that can’t be deleted

Sometimes it’s easier to just share space

If you don’t share all your secrets

What you don’t know can’t be held against you

I’m afraid I don’t know anything at all

I Need My Pain

Can you calm my fears?

I’m drowning in neuroses

You settle them all with a wave and a smile

When I look up again

Did I blink too long?

You’ve disappeared while my eyes were closed

If I wish hard enough

Can I blink you back?

Will you come if I promise to be well be behaved?

The light creeps over the horizon

The sun begins to rise

I have wished away the lonely nighttime

The light is too bright

It burns away the darkness

But sometimes we need the pain to make us who we are

So come to me quickly

Or come after the New Year

But come to me eventually or I will never get over this fear

Empty Gestures

Shut out the light

Bring on the darkness

Take out my hallow parts

I have no use for them

Spare me no pity

For fools are gladly borne

But a gesture is empty

From the back of the playhouse

In a flash the paper burns

Fire, the element of desire

Quickly stoked

Quickly sated

In the end

The darkness overcomes us all

And light fades

Power

Going into a darkness unknowing

Stand up straight and tall

You shall be numbered among the fold

The circle is cast

The fire stands ready

If you have fear in your heart

The blade stands ready

Moving into the unknowing

The blade falls away

Courage fills the heart

Power rises up

Unity abounds

Namaste

I draw your light into me

And use it to dispel my shadows

Reflect it back into the world I see

Its brilliance shines onto everything

There is nowhere the darkness can hide

What poor soul do I offer you in exchange?

So dingy and full of darkness

Even your evanescence shines

Your purity and clarity

Dispel my demons and sins

The weak thread of truth unravels
