 The mere thought of you calms me,

Fills my body and soul with peace,
I reach through the emptiness and there you are.
Touching me with invisible hands,
Reading my feelings, my thoughts, my mind
We exchange energy,
Enjoying the warmth and heat we share.
The binds that tie us,
Cannot be broken,
Cannot be crushed or riven.
They stand in judgement of all around.
Showing love greater then imaginable.

Darkness

I walk through this dark and lonely world
      My hope is bent and broken
I sit with my spirit all unfurled
      There is so much left unsaid
This is a calm that comes of this
      Waiting here in the dark
It almost seems to bring me bliss
      So cold, so deep, so stark.

Power

Power

Keep calm and steady heads

Lest madness grow in our veins

For the world is free of reason

It infects the very soul

A swelling resonance erupts

It pounds and drums in time

Encroaching on everything

Our reason will set all free

They come now to topple us

With raised and steady arms

As we fall, together

Reason has swept the land

Grey Skies

The dark clouds are heavy in the sky

They brim with the tears of heaven

It falls with desperate longing

I look out my window

The drops fall faster

A heavy heart

When it stops

Skies clear

Calm

I’d forgotten about these weird little forms of poems.  This is a Nonet.  It starts with nine syllable then each line has a decrease if one syllable until the last line which has one.  Interesting.  But I needed a form tonight. Lacking inspiration.

I Need My Pain

Can you calm my fears?

I’m drowning in neuroses

You settle them all with a wave and a smile

When I look up again

Did I blink too long?

You’ve disappeared while my eyes were closed

If I wish hard enough

Can I blink you back?

Will you come if I promise to be well be behaved?

The light creeps over the horizon

The sun begins to rise

I have wished away the lonely nighttime

The light is too bright

It burns away the darkness

But sometimes we need the pain to make us who we are

So come to me quickly

Or come after the New Year

But come to me eventually or I will never get over this fear
