A silent counterpart on my journey 

Keeping me company where I tread 

Dispelling all my fears and worries

 

Tell me not of tragic woes. 

I want to share your joys 

Speak to me of highs, not lows 

We'll rise above the maddening noise. 

The future comes on unflighted wing.

No faster than today, 

Let us live, our hearts will sing 

And greet the coming day.

Sometimes I forget I'm alone
With your voice still echoing in my ear
I forget sometimes I'm alone
While listening on the phone
While wiping rain that looks like tears
I tell myself they are not fears
I try to forget how sometimes I'm so alone

Luminescence

Deny me not your tender embrace
It brightens the darkest of nights
Warm me with the light of your face
That shine that makes everything right
Your gentle touch brings me to tears
Knowing it will soon be missed
I wish you could allay my fears
Gone with only one kiss

Charm To Rejoin & Tear Asunder

Bring together what was stretched too far
     Whether by train or plane or car
Give strength and knowledge to get the job done
     The first step is over but the game's just begun

Send knowledge of future, of justice, outcome
     To the one who left tasks empty and undone
Will power is needed and a strong steady friend
      To help them acknowledge that this is the end

Two parties, opposite in goals and in means
     Their lifestyle seems idyllic almost sanguine
It's only a façade, behind a closed door
     Any time together feels like a bore

First, bring to her what she sees in herself
     Power and glory, wisdom and wealth 

Follow the song of the muse that she hears
     No longer chased by that what she fears

Then for him, growing patiently older,
       His request is the one that is the bolder
He must go to the point where they meet
     Follow his heart to the echoing beat

Knowledge

Sleep beside me forever
Claim your portion and peace
Let fears drift into the aether
Pain and sorrow shall cease
Tomorrow is light years away
Consequences fail to show
By my side you'll stay
There is nothing else to know

A Vision in Blue

A rhapsody in cerulean
A prayer to sapphire skies
The perfect shade of everything
A universe in your eyes
The gravity drags me under
Beckoning pulls me in
Reading my darkest fears
Knowing my every sin
I couldn't escape if I wanted
Trapped in a vision in blue
Drowning in ultramarine
All caught up in you

Sing

Weep not when angels fall

They do so every day

Cheer when men gain wings

And rise above the fray

Banish fears and sorrows

For they drag us down to earth

Search for knowledge and enlightenment

Value your own self worth

Other’s opinions are pointless

And vengeance is a wasteful thing

Giving up and letting go

Can make your conscience sing

So sing me songs of sleeping spirits

Those things that go bump in the night

And call me when your conscience soars

To new and unlimited heights

I Need My Pain

Can you calm my fears?

I’m drowning in neuroses

You settle them all with a wave and a smile

When I look up again

Did I blink too long?

You’ve disappeared while my eyes were closed

If I wish hard enough

Can I blink you back?

Will you come if I promise to be well be behaved?

The light creeps over the horizon

The sun begins to rise

I have wished away the lonely nighttime

The light is too bright

It burns away the darkness

But sometimes we need the pain to make us who we are

So come to me quickly

Or come after the New Year

But come to me eventually or I will never get over this fear

Simple Wanderer

All my tomorrows

Bleed into yesterdays

When the burden of proof

Lies in the beholder

Truth flies on the wings

On a snow white dove

When you can’t believe

What you your eyes tell you

Bring to me you fears

I’ll lend you my sorrows

Together we will be

The saddest of companions

But maybe together

We can conquer the world

But I must see where to place it
