In the shallow light of day
When twilight meets the gloam
When darkened shadows come to play
Making sinking spirits roam

Let's raise a cup of unshed tears
To those we used to call friend
To broken dreams and unspoken fears
To bridges that will never mend

Allow our minds to silent grow
Let burdens be at peace
The world can have it's troubled woes
Or let all thoughts quiesce

As the sun sinks into the land
With heartbeats sounding bold
Together we pause glass in hand
And watch the future unfold

Weep not when angels fall

They do so every day

Cheer when men gain wings

And rise above the fray

Banish fears and sorrows

For they drag us down to earth

Search for knowledge and enlightenment

Value your own self worth

Other’s opinions are pointless

And vengeance is a wasteful thing

Giving up and letting go

Can make your conscience sing

So sing me songs of sleeping spirits

Those things that go bump in the night

And call me when your conscience soars

To new and unlimited heights
