Struggle

She walks on haughty airs that give us pause

Flesh and bone run though us all

And base desire is a worthy cause

For pride goeth before the fall

The time has come to gather up flowers

And watch for stars are falling

Comets have come to grander towers

The results can be appalling

The ocean cannot meet the sky

Though forever they are striving

For one must surely fall and die

While the other is uprising

Occupying Space

What would we do

If we obtained our hearts desire?

Would we stop striving

Live in complacency?

For without our dreams

We are simply carbon atoms

Occupying space

Till we return to sand

Perhaps the worst thing

Is to obtain perfection

For in gaining what we seek

We destroy all that we are
