Stand down the ages

But I like erasers

What if you change your mind?

Vacillating is a daily occurrence

A bit of a smudge here and there

Makes us human

No one should be perfect

Flaws are something to love

No one wants someone

Who they have to worship

And stand in awe of

I want an equal

Even if that means

Always being alone

Isolation

There’s a place up on a mountain

Or a cabin by the sea

When the time comes to stop running

Come there to look for me

I might not be the best companion

By the time you come for me

By then we will both be grey

But at least we will be free

A focused mind amasses much skill

To doubt it would be unwise

Some say it is impossible

To be free from spying eyes

This is proper motivation

All one really needs to be

With constant love and devotion

One wholly becomes free

But that’s another story

For today we’re miles apart

Take a deep breath and remember

You’ve been written on my heart
