 Making patterns out of chaos

Divining the unseen

Tangled threads unweaving

Return from shuttle to skein

What once took shape and form

Is now just colors and thread

Old habits seem to be returning

I can't make it straight in my head

I tried to see the big picture

But now I have disarray

If this story just ends here

I'll treasure our few precious days

Time to start a new weaving

Try to tell a new tale

The same threads woven together

Wishing you were here again

 Pedestals

Pedestals are dangerous places
The view is cloyingly sweet
But when you build them yourself
They crumble beneath your feet

It’s hard to remember your place
When you don’t believe in the rules
It’s hard to value your allies
When you think them nothing but fools

Remember where you came from
Saints are rarely beloved
Telling truths is rarely honored
So keep calm and keep your head.

Feeling things that haven't happened yet

Tingling, racing through my nerves,

Like a dance,

That feeling, without restraint,

A lambada, 

Forbidden, wild,

Rushing through my veins like a drug

Changing my body chemistry

I will never be the same again

You imprint yourself into my muscle memory

I remember you 

The same way I remember 

How to walk, 

How to laugh, 

How to cry,

You are a part of me now

Never again to be forgotten

As these memories rise to the surface

You've seen the naked truth of me

Fur Baby

Who's that pupper? She is so sweet!

She wags her tail and chews her feet

She sleeps so soundly, snoring loud

She is the best, standing out of the crowd,

Her barks are sharp, warning of danger,

Even though she is trained, no one can tame her

I wonder what she dreams of nightly,

For when she wakes her eyes shine so brightly!

She is my fur baby, I love her so,

I will hug her close and never let go!
