Singular Lonesome Song

Not sure if I've said the words,
Or said them quite often enough.
But the feelings are there, counted.
Even when I seem angry or gruff.

Sometimes life is too weary.
This burden unwieldy, and vast.
Pain that's echoing onward,
Keeping injury after it's past.

I shouldn't be adding to your lot.
To do so's incredibly wrong.
It's simply that I can not bear it,
The singular, lonesome song.

So if you can, come quickly.
If not, whenever is best.
But when you do we'll leave here,
Take a break and then take a rest.

Vows

Vows
All anyone can ask
Is to give you all can,
To try not lie,
And to love with all your heart and soul.
To vow to be faithful
Is a large part of what is wrong with this world
We expect too much
Then are upset when it falls apart
Just don’t flaunt them in front of me.
Don’t get trapped.
Be careful.
I don’t want a fixer up model.
Anyone who goes into a relationship
Intending to change someone
Ends up
With disappointments and heartaches
The only person you can count on changing
Is you.
So go into love with your eyes open,
And never end up
With your heart in pieces on the floor.

Dominion

Steel under Silk,
Strength below belies pretty promises.
I love you is a powerful spell
Make me believe.
The power of your spell,
Your power.
You certainly have dominion over me.
Do you have the authority
To control the world around us?
There is no right or wrong answer waiting,
Only green/bright here
Dilemmas arise,
How are they answered, love?
If there is a hunger; how is it met?
With a purely physical proposition,
Or is the answer
Only to wait,
To learn patience, politeness, probity?
