All the world in a summers day
With flowers hastily strewn
Time and daylight appear to play
Hearts seem to feint and swoon
Birds sing a happy tune
Serenading a midday moon
Man and Maid and merriment
As the world resume its proper spin
Love not bought but only lent
A new game now to begin

Harpie
Harpie
Along a darkened road
By a glistening brook
A lonely maid sat waiting
For a love to come along
She waited very patiently
She could not comprehend
Why no one ever came looking?
What caused her heart to rend?
Eventually no one remembered
The poor maid waiting there
Till all that was left of her
Was her long luxurious hair
Then there came a minstrel
Lacking proper resources
He used the hair for strings
And the bones for harp pieces
When he brought it to town
The hair played its own tale
The lesson learned by all?
Sometimes even the good fail
