The harmonies must match

Then soar together to new heights

So too must souls match

Their jagged edges must meet

They fit together perfectly

But sometimes what is needed

Is a descant

That perfect little melody

That runs overtop of the song

Turns it inside out

But makes it so much better

Changes it all around

But the combination

Is beautiful
